Our debut exhibition at Multimodal Expo: Building connections and creating new opportunities.

October 1, 2025

For our debut appearance, we had the opportunity to engage with some of the most prominent names in the freight forwarding and logistics industry, making valuable connections and exploring exciting new opportunities.

A highlight of the event was the opportunity to connect with freight forwarders and introducing our specialist service offerings: acting as the Indirect Representative, Importer of Record (IOR), and Exporter of Record (EOR) for shippers lacking an established in-country presence. Because the risks for freight forwarders acting in this capacity are significant, they often must turn away potential clients. Fiscal IOR’s solutions remove this liability for freight forwarders, ensuring full compliance and simplifying the complexities of international shipping. Thanks to these conversations, we have already formed great partnerships that will help us to support even more clients moving forward.

We also met with numerous potential clients actively seeking reliable solutions for shipping under the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) incoterm. Our expertise and tailored service options resonated strongly, laying the foundation for promising future partnerships.

The energy and enthusiasm at the event has spurred us on to attend next year’s Multimodal Expo on 30 June to 2 July to continue growing our network and expanding our reach.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and made our first expo such a rewarding success!

US companies bypass new tariffs by shipping China-sourced goods directly to EU and UK

In a significant shift in global trade dynamics, an increasing number of US companies are now shipping products sourced from China directly to the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK), skipping the United States entirely. This strategic move is primarily driven by the recently imposed high tariffs on Chinese imports entering the US market.

The US government introduced these tariffs to protect domestic industries and reduce dependency on Chinese manufacturing. However, the new levies (some of the highest in recent years) have substantially increased the cost of importing goods from China into the US, prompting companies to seek alternative routes.
